Lost Certificate ID or Password?

Retrieve your Password Here

If the automated password retrieval system cannot locate your ID or password,
you may be able to recover these from your machine on your own.


Pilot

If you are a Pilot using SquawkBox then your details are in the ‘SQUAWKBOX.ini’ file located in the ‘WINDOWS’ directory.  You can easily search for this using the search string:  sq*.ini
Your ‘squawkbox.ini’ file should contain:

[SB]

Line 30    USERNAME=899999
Line 31    PASSWORD=123456



Controller

If you are a controller using ProController then your details are in the ‘PCSB.ini’ file located in the ‘WINDOWS’ directory.  You can easily search for this using the search string:  pc*.ini
Your ‘pcsb.ini’ file should contain:

Line 9     CERTIFICATE=899999
Line 10    PASSWORD=123456

If your hard disk has ‘crashed’; you have reformatted your hard disk; or you are using a different computer, then you will not be able to locate your details as described above.

If you have previously installed SquawkBox or ProController on another PC then you may be able to recover your details from that PC.

If none of the above suggestions solves your problem then submit a request for help and make sure to supply VATSIM with the security word assigned to your ID at the time you registered (mother's maiden name, birthtown or date of birth).
